The Addiction Unit leads on a Department of Health accredited research programme called THEO. The programme is a collaboration between primary and secondary care services in Leeds. THEO is an acronym for Therapist and Health Effects on Outcomes. The general theme of the programme is outcome evaluation including the development of outcome measurement tools. The particular sub themes are the contribution of therapist characteristics and physical health problems to overall outcome.
